Silverhope to Rata Reconstruction

Project Overview: 7km of State Highway 1 realignment. Included works of roading construction, drainage, bridging and retaining wall construction, demolition, landscape work and co-operative environment partnership. 7km of new 2 and 3 lane highway. 2km of guardrail installation.

Earthworks

  • 300,000m3 cut to fill in sensitive soils

  • 150,000m3 cut to waste

  • Clearing of native timber

  • Goodmans negotiated own borrows and waste dumps

  • New alignment crossing existing highway several times

  • 100% managed by Goodmans
