Goodmans are in the business of shifting earth and so is the original Gair Contracting, having done so for over 40 years.

Gairs started in northern Hawke’s Bay undertaking general earthworks and extensive forestry roading. In those days, contracting wasn’t for the faint hearted. Cabs were a luxury and operators often camped on site.

Over the years in business, Gairs developed forestry roading expertise that remains in place today. The 90’s saw a move to Napier & into other civil work.

Goodmans purchased Gairs in 2020 & have carried on the family based company that Gairs always were. Goodmans Hawkes Bay remains experts in all things earthmoving including forestry roading, emergency works, waterways, flood protection, dams, subdivisions, roading and other civil projects.
